Die Autorinnen beschränken sich auf eine plastische Schilderung der Ereignisse. Diese sind jedoch in eine interessante und spannende Handlung eingebettet, und es macht Spaß, das Buch zu lesen. Einige Schwächen weist das Buch jedoch in Bezug auf die Logik von Entfernungen und Reisezeiten auf. So gehen Reisen in dieser Welt doch seltsam schnell vonstatten, und die Karte zu Beginn des Buches entspricht nicht den Gegebenheiten, die im Laufe des Romans geschildert werden.
