Amos Oz - Fekete ​doboz
Amos ​Oz világhírű izraeli írót bizonyára nem kell bemutatni a magyar olvasónak, hiszen három könyve is megjelent nálunk, melyek közül a Mihaél, Mihaél című regény egyöntetű kritikai és közönségsikert aratott. Ozról szülőhazájában tudni vélik, hogy ha legközelebb Izrael kerül sorra a Nobel-díjosztásban, ő a legesélyesebb. Minden más irodalmi díjat gyakorlatilag megkapott már, legutóbb a német könyvszakma Béke-díját (éppen egy esztendővel Konrád György után). Oz talán a legizraelibb szerző - írta róla a nemrég elhunyt I. B. Singer. Oz nagyon sokáig élt kibucban, regényeit, eszszéit és novelláit, melyek híven tükrözik hazája mindennapjait, eddig huszonkét nyelven adták ki. Elsősorban tanulmányaival hívta föl magára a világ irodalmi és politikai közvéleményének figyelmét, melyekben szót emelt minden Izraelben élő nemzetiség érdekében. "Nincsen arab vér. Csak ártatlan vér van!" A Fekete doboz levélregény, egy elkorhadt házasság s az újraéledő szenvedélyek története. Ám minél mélyebben haladunk benne előre, annál inkább rájövünk, hogy a női főszereplő nemcsak az örök szexuális függésben élő asszony jelképe, hanem a sokszoros függésben élő Izrael államé is. Magyarázatra szorul, hogy míg az Európa kiadónál megjelent munkáin a szerző neve "Amosz" Oz volt, miért változtattuk "Amos"-ra. A szerző kérésére. Izraelben héber betűkkel írják a nevét (lásd e könyv 2. számozatlan oldalán), minden más országban azonban egységesen Amos-nak. Maradjunk hát ennél.
