Stephen King - Nightmares and Dreamscapes
A solitary finger pokes out of a drain. Novelty teeth turn predatory. The Nevada desert swallows a Cadillac. This collection of Stephen King stories takes a roller-coaster ride through the macabre and monstrous, via explorations of good and evil.

Stephen King - Doctor Sleep (olasz)

Stephen King - The Eyes of the Dragon
Once upon a time, there was a terror... A tale of archetypal heroes and sweeping adventures, of dragons and princes and evil wizards, here is epic fantasy as only Stephen King could envision it. A kingdom is in turmoil after old King Roland dies and his worthy successor, Prince Peter, is imprisoned by the evil Flagg and his pawn, young Prince Thomas. But Flagg's evil plot is not perfect, for he knows naught of Thomas's terrible secret--or Prince Peter's daring plan to escape to claim what is rightfully his ... Stephen King has taken the classic fairy tale and transformed it into a masterpiece of fiction for the ages.

Stephen King - UR
Wesley Smith, an English teacher at a college in Kentucky, wants to go "New School" and buys himself a Kindle. Due to a minor mistake in his credit card number, he isn't sent a usual Kindle—but a pink one, even though Kindles are always white. Slowly he realizes that this edition was meant for another Wesley Smith—his own self in a parallel universe.

Stephen King - Cujo (angol)

One day Cujo chases a rabbit into a bolt-hole, a cave inhabited by some very sick bats. What happens to Cujo, how he becomes a horrifying vortex inexorably drawing in all the people around him, makes for one of the most heart-stopping novels Stephen King has written.

Stephen King - The Institute
In the middle of the night, in a house on a quiet street in suburban Minneapolis, intruders silently murder Luke Ellis’s parents and load him into a black SUV. The operation takes less than two minutes. Luke will wake up at The Institute, in a room that looks just like his own, except there’s no window. And outside his door are other doors, behind which are other kids with special talents—telekinesis and telepathy—who got to this place the same way Luke did: Kalisha, Nick, George, Iris, and ten-year-old Avery Dixon. They are all in Front Half. Others, Luke learns, graduated to Back Half, “like the roach motel,” Kalisha says. “You check in, but you don’t check out.” In this most sinister of institutions, the director, Mrs. Sigsby, and her staff are ruthlessly dedicated to extracting from these children the force of their extranormal gifts. There are no scruples here. If you go along, you get tokens for the vending machines. If you don’t, punishment is brutal. As each new victim disappears to Back Half, Luke becomes more and more desperate to get out and get help. But no one has ever escaped from the Institute.

Stephen King - Guns
In a pulls-no-punches essay intended to provoke rational discussion, Stephen King sets down his thoughts about gun violence in America. Anger and grief in the wake of the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School are palpable in this urgent piece of writing, but no less remarkable are King’s keen thoughtfulness and composure as he explores the contours of the gun-control issue and constructs his argument for what can and should be done. King's earnings from the sale of this essay will go the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence.

Stephen King - Desperation

Rejtélyes okból ők másként reagálnak a fertőzésre. A szálak Derrybe vezetnek (ahol sok évvel azelőtt a nyomasztó emlékű Az, a bohócmaszkos szörnyeteg szedte gyermek áldozatait), a négy férfi szellemileg visszamaradt gyermekkori barátjához, aki különös képességekkel rendelkezik… Vajon bezárul-e az álomcsapda? Stephen King feszültséggel teli, lebilincselő regényéből megtudhatja Kedves Olvasó. Az időközben elkészült filmváltozatot Lawrence Kasdan rendezte - a főbb szerepekben Morgan Freeman, Thomas Jane és Tom Sizemore látható.

Stephen King - Lisey's Story
Lisey Debusher Landon lost her husband Scott two years ago, after a twenty five year marriage of the most profound and sometimes frightening intimacy. Lisey knew there was a place Scott went -- a place that both terrified and healed him, could eat him alive or give him the ideas he needed in order to live. Now it's Lisey's turn to face Scott's demons, Lisey's turn to go to Boo'ya Moon. What begins as a widow's effort to sort through the papers of her celebrated husband becomes a nearly fatal journey into the darkness he inhabited. Perhaps King's most personal and powerful novel ever, Lisey's Story is about the wellspings of creativity, the temptations of madness, and the secret language of love.

Stephen King - The Bazaar of Bad Dreams
The next short story collection containing many of the previously published but hard-to-find short stories published since Just After Sunset.

Stephen King - Mile 81
With the heart of Stand By Me and the genius horror of Christine, Mile 81 is Stephen King unleashing his imagination as he drives past one of those road signs... At Mile 81 on the Maine Turnpike is a boarded up rest stop on a highway in Maine. It's a place where high school kids drink and get into the kind of trouble high school kids have always gotten into. It's the place where Pete Simmons goes when his older brother, who's supposed to be looking out for him, heads off to the gravel pit to play "paratroopers over the side." Pete, armed only with the magnifying glass he got for his tenth birthday, finds a discarded bottle of vodka in the boarded up burger shack and drinks enough to pass out. Not much later, a mud-covered station wagon (which is strange because there hadn't been any rain in New England for over a week) veers into the Mile 81 rest area, ignoring the sign that says "closed, no services." The driver's door opens but nobody gets out. Doug Clayton, an insurance man from Bangor, is driving his Prius to a conference in Portland. On the backseat are his briefcase and suitcase and in the passenger bucket is a King James Bible, what Doug calls "the ultimate insurance manual," but it isn't going to save Doug when he decides to be the Good Samaritan and help the guy in the broken down wagon. He pulls up behind it, puts on his four-ways, and then notices that the wagon has no plates. Ten minutes later, Julianne Vernon, pulling a horse trailer, spots the Prius and the wagon, and pulls over. Julianne finds Doug Clayton's cracked cell phone near the wagon door — and gets too close herself. By the time Pete Simmons wakes up from his vodka nap, there are a half a dozen cars at the Mile 81 rest stop. Two kids — Rachel and Blake Lussier — and one horse named Deedee are the only living left. Unless you maybe count the wagon.

Stephen King - Stephen King Goes to the Movies
Stephen King provides commentary and introductions for 5 of his favorite short stories that have been turned into films: The Shawshank Redemption (based on the novella "Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption") was nominated for seven Academy Awards. 1408 starred John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson and was a huge success in 2007. Children of the Corn was adapted into the film of the same name. The Mangler was inspired by King's loathing for laundry machines from his own experience working in a laundromat, and Hearts in Atlantis (based on "Low Men in Yellow Coats") starred Anthony Hopkins and gained critical acclaim for the wonderful performance of Anton Yelchin.

Stephen King - The Drawing of the Three
Once again, Stephen King masterfully interweaves dark, evocative fantasy and icy realism, as his hero, Roland, the Last Gunslinger, pursues his quest for the Dark Tower. Roaming another world that is a nightmarishly distorted mirror image of our own, he is drawn through a mysterious door that brings him into 1980s America. Here he links forces with the defiant young Eddie Dean and with beautiful, brilliant and brave Odetta Holmes, in a savage struggle against underworld evil and otherworldly enemies. With a storytelling skill that is sheer magic, and with breathtaking boldness of imagination, Stephen King has risen to the peak of his power to create a compelling epic that is at once enigmatic and familiar...and always compulsively readable.

Stephen King - Just After Sunset
What would you do if your everyday world were turned upside down in an instant? Here are twelve riveting stories about relationships with unexpected twists. Be very careful what you wish for. Read about the acts of kindness from strangers: 'workmen' who intervene in the obsessive exercise regime of a middle aged artist in Stationary Bike; the unexpected visitor, a blind girl, whose kiss saves a dying man; a mute hitchhiker who helps a driver get over his wife's affair. There are tales of obsession and fights for power: The Gingerbread Girl runs and runs to ease her pain; two neighbours contesting for a piece of land get into A Very Tight Place and a man who witnesses an act of domestic violence in a Rest Stop needs to step into his identity as a crime writer if he's to intervene. Then there are the unexpected outside events which turn people's worlds upside down or the right way up: a young couple, David and Willa who are derailed on a train find themselves seeking the bright lights in a nearby town - and playing the jukebox, for eternity; an older couple want to punctuate the banal humdrum with something unusual - until it happens.

Stephen King - Dolores
