Ismeretlen szerző - Korean Cultural Heritage III
In this third volume of the _Korean Cultural Heritage Series_, we focus on traditional and contemporary performing of arts in Korea, theri cultural roots, development and manifestation in modern society.
The Korean performing arts are rich and varied but little about them is known in the West. Influences from China have been strong, especially in the areas of court and Confucian ritual dance and music, but Koreans developed their own dynamic music and dance, sometimes building on borrowed foundations, other times creating new.
In this introductory section, Professor Kim Moonhwan considers the relationship between the traditional performing arts and the rituals and customs of Korean society Shamanism, a largely indigenious folk religion, lies at the root of one of Korea's most important performing art forms, mas dance-drama. Kim explores the themes and distinctive elements of Korean folk dance-drama and concludes that its dominant charahteristic is passionate community participation. The line between entertainer and audience is ambiguous. All share in the expression of life's joys and sorrows. This sense of community, together with unflagging optimism in the face of extreme hardship, characterises much of Korea's indigenous performing arts.

Ahn Jean-myung - Lee Kyung-ah - Han Hoo-young - Korean Grammar in Use
This series is the culmination of educational know-how and systematic grammar organization acquired by the three authors from their experience actually teaching Korean to foreigners in the classroom. In focusing strictly on Korean grammar, this series represents a departure from most current integrated teaching materials, allowing foreign learners to more easily concentrate on grammar in their study of Korean. The authors have included real dialogues and illustrations to make the study of Korean more interesting, especially for those students who have heretofore felt Koran grammar to be difficult. Further, this series equally serves as a general Korean grammar reference that can be used by Korean language instructors both in Korea and abroad who regularly experience the difficulty of teaching Korean grammar first-hand.
