Szeretettel köszöntök minden érdeklődőt, aki használni kívánja könyvemet. Felfogásom szerint az angol nyelv megfelelő eszköz arra, hogy különböző kultúrájú emberek megismerhessék és megérthessék egymást. Különböző nemzetiségű emberekkel beszélgetve azt tapasztaltam, hogy a hétköznapi embereknek ugyanazok a gondjaik mindenhol. Miért ne beszéljük hát meg őket? Ez az oka annak, hogy témáim feldolgozása közben különböző nemzetiségű tapasztalatokat vettem figyelembe. Egy közös nyelv használata segítheti egymás megértését és a jelenleg oly kevéssé létező tolerancia megerősödését. Lehet, ha a problémáinkat megbeszélnénk, mi magunk lepődnénk meg a legjobban a saját tévedésünkön. Természetesen nem feltétlenül kell mindennel egyetérteni. Saját véleményt is el lehet, sőt a nemzetközi nyelvvizsgákat figyelembe véve célszerű is megfogalmazni. Bár igyekeztem a témákat olyan sok oldalról megközelíteni, ahogy csak lehet, gondolkodásra is igyekeztem ösztönözni a különböző feladatokkal és kérdésekkel. Úgy érzem, hogy ha a könyvet használók gondolataikkal kiegészítik az írottakat, elértem célomat. Könnyebb és nehezebb szövegek vegyesen felhasználhatók, néhány nehezebb témát azért dolgoztam fel, mert vizsgán szóba kerülhet. Tapasztalatom szerint sokszor a nyelvvizsga sikere nem /csak / a nyelvtudáson múlik, hanem a téma "nem" ismeretén. Tanácsolom azt is, hogy a világ fontos politikai és kulturális eseményeit is figyeljük, hiszen ezek is gyakran szóba kerülnek. A feladatokat úgy állítottam össze, hogy mind egyénileg, mind párban avagy csoportosan fel lehessen dolgozni és a könyv használója úgy érezze, hogy nemcsak a vizsgáig használhassa, hanem később is elővehesse. Ugyan a fejezetek címei a "hagyományos" nyelvvizsga témáit sugallják, a mondanivalók igyekeznek a nemzetközi nyelvvizsgák felfogására és módszerére koncentrálni. A lényeg, hogy szabadon tudjunk beszélgetni bármiről és saját véleményünk legyen az élet különböző dolgairól. Ehhez kívánok mindenkinek jó kedvet és erőt.
