Morning ​in the Burned House is Margaret Atwood’s first book of poetry since the two volumes of her selected poems were published in 1987. Atwood’s poetry, like her fiction, is known and acclaimed around the world. She has had eleven volumes of poetry published in Canada, the United States, and sixteen other countries, and her work has appeared in numerous anthologies, including The Best American Poetry 1995. Among her recent honors are the Sunday Times Award for Literary Excellence (1994) in Great Britain and the prestigious Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in France. She lives in Toronto.
